The Ballerini sweater is a tribute sweater to Franco Ballerini.
Signore Ballerini, born in Firenze in 1964, raced in the PRO Peloton from the mid 80’s to the early 2000’s racing along side Giuseppe Saronni, Franco Chioccioli, Mario Cipollini, Andrea Tafi, Michele Paletti, Stefano Della Santa, Fabian Cancellera & many more. His most notable victories were of the Paris- Roubaix (‘95 & ‘98), riding for the Mapei team. In 1993 he was beaten on the line by Gilbert Duclos-Lassalle in an exciting Paris–Roubaix finale. After his career he became coach of the Italian national cycling team winning the 2002, 2006, 2007 a & 2008 World Championship with Mario Cipollini, Paolo Bettini & Alessandro Balan.
